January- The month of New Facial Expressions

Our Little Man is learning to express himself!!
Yup, this month we have learned a lot about Noah while traveling back to the states. The most exciting is when in Cleveland he showed us his first real smile (nope, it wasn't just gas!!!). The smile that first melted our hearts has now turned into a full blown laugh that you can't help but laugh along with him.

Back at home we had only two expressions. Staring out into space and .....
well,.... speaking without words!!! But being around his new family has brought out some new ones
We call this one "work"

Soon to be followed by "Relief"

Then a sheepish, "Woops, Did I do that?"

After a quick changing by whoever is closest, He is all smiles.......

And laughs!!!!

and laughs!!!!

"In awe"
This is caused by the amazing spinning ceiling fan. Mind boggling!!!!

"Huh? Talking to me?"

We are getting an early start on teaching him sign language. I think this means "More"

This is serious stuff, teaching Daddy what I like best

Just darn cute!!!

Coming to America!!- Cleveland first

January 1, 2009
Freeeezzzzin' Cleveland. Our first stop in our trip home to visit with our families after receiving Noah's passport. The weather certainly did not disappoint, showing us every possible variable. Sunny and beautiful one day, a foot and a half of snow the next, 4o mph winds and -1 degrees a few days later!!!
Despite the weather, we had an awesome time. We attended a North Olmsted Varsity basketball game and celebrated another Christmas morning. Melissa, with help from my Mom, and Amanda, put on an absolutely beautiful shower. They really know how to put these things together. From lunch with Aunt Marlene and Uncle Don to our multiple visits with Grandma Cerny, we visited with family every chance we had.
Noah was a real trooper through all of it. He couldn't have been better on our 20 hour trip home. Sleeping or just checking out the scene, whether on the plane or waiting in the airports.
