Cleveland Rocks!

July 11- 19, 2009
Leg 1 of our whirlwind tour began in Cleveland. Number 1 on our agenda was to meet our new niece, baby Kennedy. We had a small get together at Melissa and Kevin's to catch up with the family.
Noah got a kick out of the new baby. As he can't get enough of his own feet, he was truly enthralled with Kennedy's.

Uncle Kurt cuddling up with our precious Kennedy.

Rani would look at Kennedy wishfully mumbling, "I love holding a little girl." It was a bit scary!

Great Grandma, Kennedy, and Noah

On to the cottage! Aunt Amanda and Noah chilling, cottage style

A couple of first boat rides for Kennedy and Noah!

Then a tradition that can't be ignored..... Drinking beers by the fire as the sun sets!

The greatest amusement park, Cedar Point!

The greatest ride in the world, Top Thrill Dragster (the video doesn't do it justice!). From 0 to 120 MPH in 3.8 seconds, up 420 feet and then straight down!

It wasn't for the faint of heart. As you can see from Amanda's reaction at the start of the ride!

The crew

Noah even got his ride on. Although cuter, his expressions couldn't compare to that of Aunt Amanda's.

Beaching it

Kevin feeding Kennedy her first bottle

Taking Cole out for his first sail

A game of Bocce Ball before dinner

Another evening tradition, fishing off the dock.

Cole didn't give up and was rewarded with a Large Mouthed Bass. 2nd cousin Kurt was real smooth and while untangling the lure from this muscular fish (very strong if you ask me!), put a hook through his pointer finger!
Another place you don't dare miss, The Marblehead Lighthouse.

Where it all started! On this very spot was where I proposed to Rani on September 30, 2006.

Fun Summer Stuff

Noah and I have started wanderwegging on the days that he is not attending daycare. When he sees me pull out the backpack he gets pretty excited.

You never know what you are going to come across on a Wanderweg. Here is a big hairy pig sleeping in a bathtub.....

Then, some baby hairy pigs

He does love to look around and makes cute little sounds, but all the excitement takes its toll........

Noah's first Boat Ride!

We have been contemplating this adventure for a few weeks now and decided to go for it this weekend.

Fortunately, even with an uncomfortable life jacket, he seemed to have a lot of fun.

We headed to the Castle of Au to hang out with all of the other boaters (not pictured)

Aahh, now it feels like summer

Once again, all the excitement tuckers him out
